Hello Scorpions Prospect,

Welcome to the recruiting section of the New Mexico Scorpions website. This section will be continuously updated as we form new corporate partnerships. We hope that this section will be a great asset to any players trying to decide where they may want to play next season.

We have just finished our inaugural season and what a season. In the first year back from a year off we were able to win the Southwest Division and have an exciting playoff push that saw us win our first two rounds against Amarillo and our biggest rival, Arizona. We plan on building off our success this year and hopefully taking it a step further with your help next season!

The idea of this section will be to let you as players understand what the cities of Rio Rancho and Albuquerque are all about. What they look like, what the climate is like and what kind of things would be available in the area, such as the zoo or the largest mountain tram in the world. We want every New Mexico player to feel comfortable with their surroundings. That is why we created this section especially for you.

Here you will find descriptions and pictures of the brand new Santa Ana Star Center. In addition, you will find pictures of the locker room, the team bus, the fitness center, a typical apartment that the players would live in and many other pertinent areas of interest. We will list some of the amenities we offer players such as golf course passes, restaurant coupons, and other partnerships that we may have secured for the 2007-2008 season. We want all of our prospective players to have as much information as possible to help them feel good about their decision to come to New Mexico.

Our players will be coming here to succeed in hockey, but it is also our goal to develop you off the ice in life, as well as a hockey players. We will strive to push you to a higher level and will expect you to get better every day, and in turn, help the team get better every day. We want you to enjoy your experience here, while understanding that we will have lofty goals for you and our hockey club and we will set a high standard to meet them.

We hope you choose to become part of that standard, and part of the New Mexico Scorpions.
