SCORPIONS DONATION PROGRAM
 
The New Mexico Scorpions organization continues to be committed to the causes of charitable organizations throughout New Mexico. Through player appearances, ticket donations, Scorpions memorabilia auction items, and ticket selling fundraising programs, the Scorpions have been happy to support schools, corporate charity drives, children’s associations, and other non-profit organizations.
 
Due to the number of in-kind donation requests the Scorpions receive annually, we have established procedures for requesting support.
 
  • Requests must be made four to six weeks prior to the event date.
  • Requests must be typed on official organization letterhead.
  • Organizations must be charitable or non-profit in nature.
  • We are unable to accommodate out-of-state requests, monetary donations or charitable sponsorships.
 
Please include the following information on the request:
 
  • Type of event
  • Event date, place and time
  • Mailing address for organization
  • Contact name and phone number
  • Event purpose/beneficiary
  • Verification of 501 (c)(3) (non-profit status) (if applicable)
  • How donation will be used (raffle, auction, door prize)

STANLEY THE SCORPION
 
The official team mascot of the New Mexico Scorpions is Stanley. Stanley appears at all home gamest at the Santa Ana Star Center. In addition to cheering on the Scorpions at home, Stanley has become a fixture at community events and school appearances. Stanley loves to mingle with fans and kids of all ages. Stanley’s great personality makes him one of the area’s most popular and recognized mascots.
 
Request Stanley for an Appearance
 
If you would like Stanley to appear at a birthday party, corporate or community event you will need to follow the procedure below:
 
  • All requests must be submitted in writing to the Scorpions Special Events Department at least four weeks prior to the event date.
  • Requests must be typed on official organization letterhead. Please include: type of event, event date, place and time, mailing address for organization, contact name, phone number and event purpose/beneficiary. 
  • Team events where Stanley is needed will be given first priority.
  • Stanley appearances are based on availability.
  • If your request is granted you will be notified at least two weeks prior to the event

Scorpions Player & Coaching Appearances
 
The New Mexico Scorpions encourage our players to appear in the community for charitable and youth related activities as much as possible. To request a Scorpions Player or Coach:
 
  • Always check the Scorpions game schedule before making your request (the regular season runs October – March).
  • All requests must be submitted in writing to the Scorpions Special Events Department at least four weeks prior to event the date.
  • Requests must be typed on official organization letterhead. Please include type of event/activity, event date, place and time, mailing address for organization, contact name and phone number.
 
Please note that our decision is based on player availability and scheduling.

Scorpions Speakers Bureau
 
The Scorpions welcome the opportunity to present a program on hockey for your organization. Front office staff and coaches are available to speak at a variety of professional associations, civic groups, corporate events, youth groups and schools.
 
If you are interested in having one of our members visit your group, please send a letter on your organization's letterhead to the address below, stating your interest, as well as the name and phone number of the person we can contact to set up a mutually convenient date.
